The Shadow was a precursor to and primary influence on such comic books as Bob Kane and Bill FInger's Batman, Alan Moore's V for Vendetta, and Disney's Darkwing Duck. Published by Street & Smith. Each measures 9 1/2" x 6 3/4".
January 15, 1938- Hills of Death/Shanghai Transport
February 1, 1938- The Fifth Napoleon
April 15, 1938- Serpents of Siva
September 15, 1938- Crime over Boston
Condition
Overall fair condition. Some wear to the cover of Serpents of Siva and The Fifth Napoleon. Crime over Boston is in rather good condition, while Hills of Death is in poor condition, having notable bookworm bore through the entire text.
