This piece dates to 1961. The bowl is beautifully chased around the rim with elegant shell, scroll, and floral designs. The bowl is polished to a bright mirror finish. The underside of the bowl has a presentation inscription reading, "To Janice and Alex on their Twenty-Fifth Wedding Anniversary, With Love from Juan and Lolo." This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The underside of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Gorham, as well as the date simple of the number 1 inside a hexagon, for 1961. The bowl measures about 11 3/4 inches in diameter and stands about 1 7/8 inches tall. The bowl weighs 535 grams or 18.9 regular ounces.
