Description
Libbey made promo glassware for several Newspaper Sunday Comics in 1976. The Sunday Funnies line was released in 1976 and originally at least 6 - 16 oz. drink glasses featuring: Terry and the Pirates by Milton Caniff, Brenda Starr by Dale Messick, Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray, Moon Mullins by Frank Willard, Simlin' Jack by Zack Mossey, and Gasoline Alley by Dick Moores. This set of 5 is missing the Orphan Annie glass. Three of these are from the New York News, one from The Chicago Tribune, and one from the News Syndicate Co. Inc. I remember them well. A great look into the memorabilia of our lives. All glasses are in near mint condition. No loss of pyro, no scratches etc.
