This BEAUTIFUL cotton 1920's/1930's red, yellow, green and white Marie Webster "May Tulips" quilt is all hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a flowing floral design. It measures a generous 88" X 100" and is excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. The hand quilting is OUTSTANDING, with quilting around and within the applique and in straight line, grid, feathered, and vine designs in the background, all at an even 10-11 stitches to the inch, with faint pencil marks still visible in places. The back and hand stitched binding are white, and the batting is thin.
