Description
The old TUCO Round Puzzles are getting much harder to find. There are a fairly good number of the miniatures but the large (21 1/4') difficult to find. Pieces have been counted and fall within the number designated for this puzzle. A little history: TUCO Workshops, Inc. was the maker of die cut cardboard puzzles in Lockport, NY 1932-1984. They used stronger dies which allowed them to cut thicker cardboard (called upsom board) but only in a crooked line strip pattern. This gave their puzzles a special feel of solidity, much like wood, and a distinct competitive advantage. Later, the company thinned the cardboard and cut knobs becoming just like the other makers of die cut cardboard puzzles. Puzzle has not been worked but I believe it has all the necessary pieces. A few pieces have some minor paper loss.
