This Antique Rising Sun Nippon Porcelain Chocolate/Tea/Coffee Set is in excellent condition. It comes with 6 cups and saucers as well as the lid to the pot. The only wear on the set is on the knob on the lid. (see photo). The cups hold 4oz. and are 2 3/4" tall. The backstamp dates this set before 1929 that most likely makes them Antique. The Rising Sun Mark was used most often from 1911 to 1929 and has been found only in this blue shade. Nippon comes from the Japanese's pronunciation of their country Ni-hon and is related to the sun-origin or Land of the Rising Sun. The pot stands 9: tall with lid on. Saucers are 4 7/8" in diameter.
