Description
Real photo paper moon studio image of General Tom Thumb smoking a cigar and posing in his stage uniform complete with sword on a cut-out paper moon. His real name was Charles Stratton and he was discovered by the showman P T Barnum at a very young age. Barnum changed his name to Tom Thumb. He was just 3' 4" tall. He appeared in the circus and traveled worldwide even preforming for Queen Victoria. Card is in excellent shape - please see the images. Postally unused. Circa 1880s. Extremely rare.
