This Vintage Crock/Stoneware Shoulder Bowl is in excellent condition. You will not find a better one. It has a nice glossy glaze on the inside and no utensil marks. These bowls were and are very durable. It has lasted for decades and will last for decades more. Stands 4 1/2" tall and is just a little over 9" in diameter. This nice brown USA stoneware shoulder bowl is an older one and has "USA 9 IN" on the bottom. It is ribbed around the crock bowl. These old mixing bowls were made in different sizes, the "shoulder" is to make the stacking easier. These were made by various American potteries for use in the kitchen. Maker of this bowl is unknown.
