Title:Antique Ironstone Child's Tureen with Lid 19th Century

Size:5 5/8 in (14.3 cm) long x 3 5/8 in (9.2 cm) wide x 3 1/2 in (8.9 cm) tall.

Description:A delicate, miniature, fun size, white ironstone tureen with a pedestal foot, matching underplate and lid that was manufactured for a child.

The molded tureen has traces of gilt on the handles and on the mouth rim. The handles and finial have a Victorian scroll design.

The plate base is not glazed and has a firing hole. The lid flange is also not glazed. The body glaze is that ironstone white and is very soft and unctuous.

There are no labels. The number two is incised on the base.

MEASUREMENTS
5 5/8 in (14.3 cm) long x 3 5/8 in (9.2 cm) wide x 3 1/2 in (8.9 cm) tall. Weighs 8.2 oz.

CONDITION
There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs. There is wear to the gilding on the rim, and the gilding on the handles is nearly completely worn off. The tureen does not include a ladle.

A fun child's tureen to add to your collection. It's a shrunken version of the large adult size.
