Tiffany-style stained glass table lamp in a Victorian design with an 18-inch glass shade. Lamps of this type are inspired by the decorative lighting created during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when stained glass shades became a hallmark of American design following the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany.
The shade is constructed using the traditional copper-foil stained glass technique, where individual pieces of colored glass are wrapped in copper foil and soldered together to form the decorative pattern. Modern Tiffany-style lamps continue to use this method to replicate the appearance of historic stained glass lighting.
