Description
Rare handcrafted Hepplewhite Revival rolltop desk by Charak Furniture Company of Boston, Massachusetts from 1930. The piece is beautifully constructed of mahogany with flame and satinwood inlaid details, dovetail joints, and a marble surface inside. Some also refer to this as a mixing table desk. There are deep cellaret drawers on each side, a long center drawer, and a center tambour rolltop. It maintains the manufacturer label inside the center drawer and is hand numbered #1339 and dated 1930. The center drawer lock does not have a key. The details on this piece are incredible and it will not disappoint!
Overall dimensions are 42-1/2" wide x 24-1/2" deep x 43-1/2" high.
Worksurface measures 27" wide x 18" deep x 12" high under the rolltop, and 30-1/4" high above floor.
Center drawer inside measures 37" wide x 18" deep x 2" high.
Two side drawers measure inside 4-3/4" wide x 18" deep x 10-1/2" high.
Knee clearance is 38-1/4" wide x 25-1/4" high.
