Rare edition of these sermons by the Franciscan Wild (also Ferus, 1495-1554), first published in 1554.
His sermons were of great importance for the preservation of Catholicism in Mainz... In doing so, F. demonstrated a rare breadth of thought by also including Protestant works... Since Sixtus V, almost all of his works were on the Index of Forbidden Books until 1900 (NDB V, 101).
Lacking title (facsimile provided), and two leaves.
