5th-7th century AD. Bronze, size 9 ¼. 2.1mm rounded section band flared to the shoulders. The oval bezel was impressed with five concentric circles representing the wounds of Christ. These were made and sold along the route to The Holy Land, often at minor shrines along the way. Those same routes later were taken by Crusaders in their quest to wrest Jerusalem from the Muslims.
