  • Description:Vintage .800+ Silver Old Berber/Tuareg Ring, Sz. 8, Carved Gizelle/Glass Top, 1900's. Exact age unknown but like mid 1900's or earlier. This is heavy silver and these rings are north African in background/Morocco known as Old Berber and Tuareg rings. They were known to use 80% silver but it can be higher and does test as silver too. This is a huge ring with a weight of appx. 38.78 grams. It has carved animals and leaves around the entire ring except the very back. with a dark green glass carved top that is appx. 30mm acoss and set slightly peaking out of the bezelw ith a rope accent around the bezel The ring has a very cultural look to it. There is some wear on the silver at the back of the finger. It is a Size 8. It is not marked or signed in any way. I've seen these listed as signet rings, initial rings, etc. The common thing is Old Berer and Tuareg. Good condition with that wear as mentioned at the back of the finger.
