Cartier Paris 18k gold flexible collar necklace, circa 1950s to 1960s, designed with an articulated brick link construction that creates a smooth curved profile around the neckline. The necklace is crafted in 18k gold and features a refined, slightly tapered flexible form with a signed clasp marked Cartier Paris. The clasp is also stamped 750, with French assay marks and serial number 03119. The design reflects Cartier's mid century approach to gold jewelry, combining precise link work, substantial construction, and a clean collar silhouette. The necklace measures 17 1/4 inches in length, 1/4 inch in width, and weighs 31.2 grams. There is surface wear and patina throughout, with slight irregularities visible on the underside of the necklace and clasp (as shown in photos), consistent with age and prior wear. Despite these imperfections, the necklace lays beautifully when worn due to its curved and flexible construction.
