This vintage 14k gold pendant plays with the idea of utility and nostalgia in a really clever way. Shaped like a miniature belt buckle, it features a hinged mechanism at the top and a green enamel plate on the front. The inscription reads "STATI PARMENSI CENTESIMI 5"which is a nod to historic Italian coinage from the Duchy of Parma, where this phrase appeared on early 19th-century currency. The lettering is done in a stylized font that matches the whimsical shape of the plaque, framed in gold. It's a compact object with a bit of playfulness built in.
