The spines are intricately decorated with bright gilt detailing and raised bands. Binding: Excellent shelf presence with very strong hinges and secure text blocks. Some expected darkening and light rubbing to the leather corners. Interior: Features a majority of bright, clean pages throughout. As is common with this edition, there is mild sporadic foxing, with heavier foxing noted on the title page and frontispiece of Volume I. Notes: Light, occasional damp staining present in a few volumes (documented in photos).
