Description
Rare pair of French faience cachepots (1872–1876) with provenance from the Manoir “La Dijonnerie” near Bourges. Produced by a short-lived Nevers factory (active just four years), known for its distinctive, whimsical style.
Each piece is finely decorated à petit feu (double-fired) on a white ground, featuring vivid, surreal caricature figures amid flowering branches in rich polychrome hues. Additional detailing includes yellow and black satyr heads along the sides.
