Description
A modern 18k white gold diamond ring with GIA certified cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant cut diamond. The specialty brilliant cut combines the angular elegance of an emerald shape with the radiance of a brilliant cut, giving the diamond a refined yet vibrant appearance. On each side, a trapeze-shaped diamond is set to frame and enhance the center stone. Designed with balance and proportion, the ring’s geometry gives it a strong, contemporary profile. Ideal for those who appreciate distinctive diamond cuts and a streamlined style, it works equally well as an engagement ring or a statement piece. Made of 18 karat white gold, the ring features an 8.02-carat natural cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant cut diamond flanked by a trapeze-shaped diamond on each side. The center 8.02-carat diamond comes with a GIA Natural Diamond Grading Report stating it as I color and Internally Flawless clarity with excellent polish, very good symmetry and no fluorescence (see picture 3). The GIA Report number is inscribed on the diamond girdle. The two trapeze diamonds are of H-I color and VS1 clarity with total weight approximately 1.0 carat. The ring is size 3.5 and is re-sizable. It weighs 5.1 grams. The diamond part of the ring measures 5/8" x 1/2". The shank is stamped with a hallmark for 18 karat gold. About White Gold Jewelry: The inception of white gold can be traced back to the early 20th century when jewelers sought a more affordable alternative to platinum. Initially, they experimented with alloys by combining yellow gold with nickel or palladium. This led to the creation of a silvery-hued metal that closely resembled platinum but at a more accessible price point. White gold is not found in nature but created through the alloying of pure gold with other metals. Common alloys include nickel, palladium, silver, and zinc. The choice of alloy affects both the color and properties of white gold. For example, nickel imparts a bright white color, while palladium offers a slightly warmer tone. To enhance the brilliance and whiteness of white gold jewelry, it is often plated with rhodium. It’s a precious metal that belongs to the platinum group. Rhodium plating provides a reflective surface and additional protection against scratches and tarnishing. However, it may wear off over time, requiring periodic re-plating. White gold jewelry is often chosen for engagements and weddings. The metal symbolizes purity, commitment, and enduring love. Besides its aesthetic appeal, white gold is valued for its durability and resistance to tarnishing. These practical attributes contribute to the metal's suitability for everyday wear.
