Standing at an impressive height, this deity is a powerful symbol of boundless mercy and the all-encompassing nature of enlightenment. The eleven heads, stacked serenely one above the other, represent Avalokiteshvara's ability to perceive suffering in all directions and his deep wisdom. The uppermost head is that of Amitabha Buddha, his spiritual father, signifying the lineage and profound connection within the Buddhist pantheon. The multitude of arms radiating outwards is the most striking feature, symbolizing Avalokiteshvara's tireless efforts to liberate all sentient beings from suffering. Each hand, in its unique gesture or holding a specific implement, represents a distinct method or skill through which the Bodhisattva offers solace, protection, and guidance. The primary two hands are clasped in the Anjali Mudra, a gesture of prayer and reverence, embodying his humble devotion to the welfare of all.
