XXII (on XXIV), 477 pp. Size 2 3/4 by 5 1/3" Modern half vellum binding with gilt title on spine Some wear , faded dampstains on first 2 leaves. The title page laid down. The author, the Jesuit Caussin (15831651), was theologian, mystic, confessor of Louis XIII on the designation of Richelieu and avid popularizer of neoPlatonist theories.
