72 x 80 A handmade American scrap patchwork quilt featuring sixteen large square blocks arranged in a four-by-four grid. The quilt top employs a Double Pinwheel or Broken Dishes variation pattern. Each block is pieced from a variety of mid-20th-century scrap fabrics, including solid cottons in orange, green, black, and burgundy; various plaid and gingham checks in green, brown, blue, and pink; and several small-scale floral and geometric prints. The quilt is finished with a wide, solid peach-colored border that matches the full-cloth backing. The construction is machine-pieced with sparse straight-line quilting or tacking visible across the sections.
