The top of the bbl. extension is marked with a "G" (1935) date code, with a Mauser Eagle/211, followed by an "S 92" proof, and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "S/42" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall, with some small parts exhibiting either a straw or nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece contemporary wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight, with fixed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, hold-open latch, bbl., bbl. extension, trigger bar, firing pin, toggles, as well as the rear toggle link. Breechblock is unnumbered. MAGS: 1 non-matching (S# 4016d) plated 8-rd. mag., marked with a Mauser Eagle/211 proof. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some spots of light surface oxidation and pitting overall. Grip straps exhibit areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas. Straw parts retain fair amounts of their finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina and scattered spots of age related discoloration. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and some scattered areas of dark pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Contemporary wood grips are very good overall.
