Description: This is a vintage mid-century modern French art glass centerpiece bowl likely produced by Cristalleries de Vannes-le-Châtel. The design of the piece is commonly referred to as the "Swirl Splash" or "Winged Wave" pattern. The biomorphic, free-form sculptural contours is intended to mimic the explosive motion of splashing water. Crafted out of exceptionally heavy, optically brilliant clear lead crystal. These works were produced primarily during the 1960s to 1970s in the Lorraine region of France.
