Description
The lightweight tin has been shaped into a hexagonal tea caddy with an insert cap and a round lid. The cap has a gold-colored metal knob. The tin has been painted black with gold and red highlights forming a design of cranes under a pine tree. It has a shallow foot with a flat base. The tin rests flat on a surface.
MEASUREMENTS
5 ¼ in (13.3 cm) diameter x 7 ½ in (19.0 cm) tall. Weighs 7.7 oz (25 g)
CONDITION
There are a couple of small dents on one of the back body panels, as well as on the top of the lid. There are paint losses throughout, but especially along the edges. The unpainted metal surfaces, such as the lid underside, insert, jar mouth and jar interior all show oxidation.
