Description
The skirt is made from a bright red silk with prunus blossoms woven in the design. The front and back both have colorful silk appliques of a peony, butterflies and a myriad of other flowers. The applique design is separated from the rest of the skirt with a silver trim. The rest of the skirt outside the decorative panels is pleated.
The waistband is made from an off-white cotton with strings. The top of the skirt is fastened with snaps. Only one side still has the snaps, however. The bottom edge of the skirt has a metal fringe that dangles and shimmies with motion. Just above the row of fringe is the same silver trim used to set off the decorative panels.

28 in (71.1 cm) waist x 33 in (83.8 cm) long. Weighs 11.7 oz (330 g)
CONDITION
The female side of the snaps are missing. There are no rips, tears or holes. A few of the appliques are loose. The top white cotton band is soiled, and the red silk may have light soiling but it’s hard to see due to the bright red color. The metal fringe all looks intact.
A great Chinese silk to add to a collection or wardrobe.
