Description
Handle – 3 ¼ in (8.3 cm) wide
A metal corkscrew shaft has been mounted with a hardwood handle. The shank is not iron. It is shaped like a rectangle and is about 1/8" in thickness ending in a very heavy duty screw. The wood handle has ringed cuts on each opposite side and has a metal cap to hold the shaft. The wooden handle is very soft with a nice patina from years of use.
The words LAURENT SIRET ROCHEFORT LOIRE are molded into the handle.
We believe the corkscrew was produced in the 1930s but are not certain. Certainly it has significant age.

CONDITION
There are no breaks, cracks, or chips. The metal has a dark patina from age. The wood has natural dark colors in the lighter wood.
