These antique ice block tongs are made of cast iron in a fluid piece-Marked No 1 - they are large measuring 17" x 13 3/4" when open tong to tong will accommodate a 19 1/2" block of ice (21 1/2" total distance open). The handles are 4 1/2". Production date around1910. These are the classic tongs you would see used at the ice house where I grew up.
