The brand Harcourt was produced by Preben Holm for Dunhill to secure a share of the Danish fancy boom for Dunhill's principal pipe dealers. Later Erik Nording made Harcourt pipes for a shorter period. Such was the Dunhill's response to the increasing demand and constantly growing interest in freehand pipes in the 1970s. The Harcourt series has been sold through owned Dunhill stores and a few of Dunhill's dealers.
The pipe marking is "HARCOURT \ HAND CARVED \ IN DENMARK". The length is 13.3 cm (5.24?), bowl's height is 6.1 cm (2.4?). External diameter of the bowl is 4.3 cm (1.69?), internal diameter is 2.3 cm (0.9?). The depth is 4.6 cm (1.81?) and this pipe weights 58 gr. Briar, vulcanite stem (with some age related roughness), no filter.
