1982 This BEAUTIFUL cotton tree of life quilt is all hand appliqued and hand quilted, with hand embroidered accents and a scalloped edge. A tag on the back identifies the maker as "Grandma," and the date "Dec. 25th, 1982" is hand embroidered on the back.
It measures 78" X 94" and is excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.
There is hand quilting around and within the applique and in straight line, grid, feathered, and other designs in the background, all at 6-7 stitches to the inch. This pattern is a kit, and there are tiny pale blue dots showing the quilter where to quilt.
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid green, and the batting is thin.
