An excellent Tibetan style brass snuff bottle with carnelian, and turquoise gemstones. Delicate metalwork complete the elaborate work of this vintage bottle circa late 19th or early 20th century. However the height of the bottle is shorter as the older snuff bottles tend to be - many of the tourist type bottles of the early 20th century became taller and taller, often well over 3 inches tall. Therefore I think this one is early 2oth century. Measures 6.4 cm tall to stopper top, or 2 1/2 inches tall. From a private Wichita Falls collection.
