Reverse Intaglio Crystal
Each crystal panel contains a delicately carved and hand-painted pagoda scene viewed through the polished crystal surface, creating remarkable depth and dimensionality. The bracelet is composed of seven articulated crystal links mounted in sterling silver settings joined by decorative openwork connectors.
Reverse intaglio jewelry became highly desirable among American tourists and collectors during the post-war period, particularly examples produced in Japan during the 1940s and 1950s. The detailed pagoda motifs, architectural subject matter, and refined sterling settings make this an appealing example of mid-century Japanese export jewelry.
The clasp is marked Sterling Silver and the bracelet retains excellent visual presence with exceptional light reflection through the crystal panels.
