Wooden children’s pounding bench toy featuring a green-painted top with multiple openings, internal wooden pegs, and an accompanying wooden mallet. The side panel is stenciled “Playskool Nok-Out Bench.” The toy was designed to allow children to hammer pegs through the bench and develop hand-eye coordination. Produced by Playskool, United States, c. 1940s-1950s.

Original colored pegs are missing. Bench retains its original painted finish and includes the wooden mallet. Wear is present throughout including scratches, scuffs, finish loss, edge wear, and age-related discoloration. The mallet shows heavy wear and losses to the striking surfaces. Internal wooden mechanism remains present.
