This is the broken end of a fine Viking bracelet or arm torque. It is over 1" (1.03”) length of spiral twist form. The spiral or helix was a favorite Viking form with spiritual significance. It is a warrior’s bracelet, broken in the funerary process. The surface is textured from burial. It was handcrafted by a Viking artisan 1000 years ago by the lost wax process, worn by a Viking warrior and broken as part of his funerary ritual! It has been professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and mounted to a gilt Sterling silver 18” neck chain for modern wear.
