  • Description:Vintage Vendome Aurora Borealis Ruffle Brooch, Faux Pearls, 1960's, This has clear ridged facets on top and bottom with pink/purple/blue aurora borealis finish and reflective back to the stones. the stones on the outher frame are arranged with faux pearls in a ruffled and wavy design. The stones are appx. 12.5mm by 10mm. the center has a frame of faux pearls with a raisedround smaller version of the larger stone that is appx. 5.5mm round and faux pearls scattered between the stones . It has a filigree back to the brooch with a long locking pinback. It has the Vendome hallmark tag at the center. Very clean and in very good condition. Vendome was a subsidiary of Coro with an emphasis on French flair and was in business from the 1950's until 1979. Similar brooches are out there and range from $138 to $158. I'm sure there are others lower - and higher - as that always happens but this is the fair average representation. (W11.2-121514.1x1 SS15449 J LD 3/4/25).
