Description
The particular inspiration for these earrings came from the Art Nouveau Period, around 1890's to 1920's.
The original earrings were screw ons with shell cameos. I cut the backs off and took a mold of the original shell cameo and bezel. From there, I made a wax casting, with the wax casting I hollowed out the backs to make each earring light and practical to wear. At that point, I remolded the finished wax and cast this lovely pair of earrings in solid sterling silver. Finally, I soldered on posts and then slipped on the backs.
These cameos are of a woman's profile looking each direction and measure 20mm's by 15mm's, the bezel settings measure 21mm's by 16mm's...
Earrings are 4mm's thick and are for pierced ears...
Available polished as shown in the first 4 pictures, antiqued as shown in the last picture, satin, or 14 kt gold vermeil not shown. Please let me know which you'd like at time of purchase.
