Description

Bronze, well over 1 1/8" diameter. Circular section, with tapered cross pin. Textured from burial. Worn in numbers, these were decorative as well as serving as a measure of protection from sword blows. See multiple images for a similar brooch with a sword cut. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver overlay restored. On modern Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
