Decorative round bowl in glazed faience with a stylised agave leaf motif in yellow, blue, and green tones against a ribbed brown ground. The relief decoration is characteristic of Mari Simmulson's graphic, nature-inspired design language from the early 1960s. The model is numbered 4445 and dated 1961.

Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) was one of the most prominent designers at Upsala Ekeby in the mid-20th century. Her production from the 1950s and 1960s reflects the modernist aesthetics of the period and is highly sought after by collectors today.
