Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) was a Swedish ceramic artist and designer who worked for many years at Upsala Ekeby. She is noted for decorative forms within Scandinavian modernism, often characterised by expressive glazes and surface effects. Upsala Ekeby was one of Sweden's most important ceramic producers in the mid-20th century, creating both functional wares and studio-style art ceramics across a wide range of series, many of which are highly collectible today.
