The lower section is finished in a warm brown glaze and decorated with graphic, stylised floral or radiating motifs in white, while the upper section is completed in glossy white glaze. Goran Andersson was a Swedish ceramic artist and designer associated with Upsala Ekeby in the mid-20th century. Upsala Ekeby was one of Sweden's most important ceramic producers during this period and played a key role in the development of Scandinavian modernism in both functional and decorative ceramics, many of which are now highly collectible.
