The vase is executed in Nils Thorsson's well-known design language from the Baca series, clearly inspired by archaeological and graphic motifs. Nils Thorsson was artistic director at Royal Copenhagen and a key figure in the development of the factory's modern faience production. The series represents an important chapter in post-war Danish ceramics and is today highly regarded by collectors.
