Ingrid Atterberg (1911-2008) and Mari Simmulson (1911-2000) were among the most influential designers at Upsala Ekeby during the mid-20th century. Both artists were known for their modern forms, experimental decorations and bold colour combinations, which helped establish Upsala Ekeby as a leading name in Scandinavian design ceramics during the postwar era.
