Bio:
Evald Nielsen (1879–1958) was a Danish silversmith and a central figure in Danish silver design during the first half of the twentieth century. He founded his workshop in Copenhagen in 1905 and became known for elegant cutlery patterns and silver hollowware. During the 1920s his designs moved toward a more restrained and geometric language influenced by Art nouveau while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
