Introduced by Pathe in 1900, the Duplex could play the standard or the 5" cylinders by removing and changing the mandrels with a simple thumb screw. This machine only has the original standard cylinder but a slip on 5" cylinder is provided. The original finish wood case and matching lid are both VG. The bedplate has VG paint and pinstripe. All plating is good to VG. Machine winds and runs but needs a new belt. The mandrel spins freely. The back of the case has been fitted for a crane (not included). Comes with a REX reproducer missing the stylus, and a 10.25" spun aluminum horn in VG condition. Measures 13.5" wide, 10.5" deep, 13.5" tall with lid. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
