A vintage binocular compound microscope set manufactured by the Spencer Lens Company, a division of American Optical, in Buffalo, New York.
The microscope is accompanied by an assortment of period lab supplies and accessories. This collection includes a separate black-finished external illuminator with a blue filter lens and integrated power cord with a thumb-switch. Laboratory supplies include a box of Aloe University Grade microscope slides from the A.S. Aloe Co. and multiple small boxes of Gold Seal and Aloe Precision Grade micro cover glasses. Additional items include a small wooden accessory box with a brass latch and a rusted iron key housed in a Spencer Buffalo branded leather pouch. The entire set is housed in a large black textured wooden carrying case with metal corner protectors, a central latch, and wooden internal supports.

The microscope appears to be in good, complete condition with all primary mechanical components intact and moving smoothly. The external illuminator has a repair to the power cord made with electrical tape; its electrical functionality is unverified and should be inspected by a professional before use. The wooden carrying case exhibits external scuffs, surface wear, and age-related oxidation to the metal hardware. The iron key exhibits significant surface rust.
