The first of oak having a slide lid with three finger notches, dovetailed case with rosehead nails, with newer orange and black grain-painted decoration. 4"h. 4.75"w. 8.75"d. The other of poplar having a slide lid with one finger notch and key hole (no key), case of simple construction with square nails, newer paint in orange, red, and black stripes, one side with the date "1829" and the front with the initials "RA." 3.5"h. 5.5"w. 8"d.
