About the artist: Born on October 25, 1953 in the village of Podvornoye, Novoselitsky district, Chernivtsi region. Husband N. Buryak. He graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1979). Teachers by specialty - T. Dragan, V. Ovsiychuk. Painter. He worked in the genre of easel and monumental painting. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1987). Member of the club of Ukrainian artists (1989). He was awarded the NSHU Prize for the work "The Death of Boychuk" (1991). Fellow of the international competition "New Names" (1992). People's Artist of Ukraine (2016). He worked as a deputy director for educational work and a drawing teacher at the Lviv College of Arts (1979-1981); teacher of drawing and painting at the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1981-1986), at creative work (1986). Personal exhibitions: Lviv (1986), Rzeszow (1988), Yaroslav (1988), New York (1991), Vienna (1993, 1997), Metz (1994), Duren (1997), Dortmund (1997-1999), Angers (1997 1998, 1999), Zihen (1998), Aachen (1999); group exhibitions: Kiev (1991, 1995), Vienna (1993-1994, 2001), Prague (1994-1995, 1996), Munich (1995), Dortmund (1995), Nuremberg (1996), Brussels (2002).
