Amoghapasha is the tantric form of Avalokitesvara. Amoghapasha signifies "he whose noose is unfailing", which suggests that Amoghapasha is willing to go to extreme lengths to pull a devotee toward enlightenment, thereby rescuing them from suffering. This casting has 2 pieces, a prabhavali and Amoghapasha. He has 8 arms holding multiple implements. He stands on a two-tiered lotus throne. A small figure of Amithaba sits in his crown. He is the tutelary deity of Kathmandu.
