A fine lot of three items ideal for display, includes: ERICH HARTMANN (1922 - 1993) German ace, the top ace of all time, with 352 aerial kills during which he never lost a wing man. Captured and held by the Soviets for ten years. A handsome signed 18 x 24 in. print of a painting by HARLEY COPIC and showing ‘Karaya One’, an Me-109 in flight. Signed by Hartmann in pencil at bottom left blank margin, and by the artist at right adding limitation number 225/1000. WITH: JOHN W. F. M. HUFFER (1895-1986) American aviator who served in the French forces during World War I as part of the Lafayette Flying Corps, later commanding the United States Army Air Service's 94th Aero Squadron, contributing to the 94th's famous ‘Hat-in-the-Ring’ insignia. Signed print, 16 x 20 in. b/w, an artist’s rendition of members in the Lafayette Flying Corps, signed at bottom right in blue ink and by the artist JACK MOORE at lower left, adding limitation number 171/600. Fold at bottom left corner, else very good. Together with: a smaller print of ‘Kayara One’, signed by DAVID L. MCFARLAND, who organized the Gathering of Eagles annual aviation events from 1982-2000.
