Roman 'city-state' appointment document with very rare pair of intact wax and paper official seals, 1p. oblong 4to., 'From our Royal Palace', June 30, 1505, in Latin. The document appoints one Franciscus Cosimus a deputy in 'our lands of Montis Rontundi' beginning the first of July at the usual salary, concluding: '...We order that he show the due reverence and obedience subject to incurring our disapproval...' Margins a bit rough with a very small hole at fold junctions, else very good.
